CPBS supports UNM's study abroad course CE 491/598 Community Design and Analysis: Resiliency in Transportation Systems in the Netherlands.

21 UNM students spent three weeks in June 2023 completing a transportation study abroad program in the Netherlands. The students learned about regional/urban development and multimodal transportation systems in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Gouda, Houten, Arnhem, and Delft. The class observed operations at the busiest Dutch train station, saw the largest bike parking garage in the world, held travel interviews with local Dutch commuters, measured right-of-way cross sections, studied traffic control systems, and of course experienced biking on a world-class bike network!
