Transit Access and Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety

Project Description

This research project is part of a broader endeavor on behalf of the CPBS to shed light on pedestrian, bike, scooter, and skateboard access to public transit facilities in the State of California. This project will seek to determine relationships between the built environment and travel mode of transit, and the rate of traffic-related deaths and injuries around public transit facilities. This specific project will focus on the Greater San Diego County region.

Outputs

We will use advanced GIS and spatial statistical analysis to better understand transit access and ped/bike safety.
